How much does a singing lesson cost?
The 60-minute lesson is 10,000 HUF, the 90-minute one is 13,000 HUF. There is no separate room hire or other charge on top.
Where do you teach?
At Száva Terem in Kőbánya: 1107 Budapest, Száva utca 9., building B, 1st floor — a few minutes from the Határ út metro station. A professional piano, studio monitors, microphones and recording.
Can I take lessons online?
Yes. All you need is a laptop, tablet or phone, a stable internet connection and a speaker. I share the practice material with you from lesson to lesson.
Can I come as a complete beginner?
Yes, many people start from scratch. In the first lesson I work out where you are and what your goal is, and we start from there.
Is there an age limit?
I teach from the age of 16.
What styles do you teach?
Pop and musical theatre. These are the two I have been singing on stage for twenty years.
What will I learn in the lessons?
As a beginner: correct breathing, breath support, intonation and healthy vocal technique. As an advanced singer: different vocal techniques, telling styles apart, microphone technique and stage presence. Solfège and music theory on request.
Can you prepare me for an entrance exam or an audition?
Yes: singing for entrance exams, solfège and music theory for exams, auditions and talent shows.
What is vocal part coaching?
If you need to learn a backing vocal part for a performance but you don’t read sheet music, I record the parts for you so that you can practise at home, at your own pace. The price depends on the amount and difficulty of the material.
Can I get a recording of my singing?
On request, yes — we record the songs that turn out best, there in the room.
What happens if I have to cancel a lesson?
Up to 24 hours before the lesson you can cancel or reschedule free of charge. Within 24 hours the lesson fee is payable, because I can no longer fill the slot — in that case I’ll offer to hold the lesson online, or to record practice material tailored to you. Once every six months you can cancel at any time with no consequences.
Can I give a singing lesson as a gift?
Yes, with a gift voucher. It is for one 90-minute lesson, and on request I’ll add a personal message.
Will I get an invoice?
Yes. The lessons are provided by Száva Terem, and they issue the invoice.
