Your teacher

Eszter Kuszenda

My world is quality pop music. It’s what I believe in, what I perform and what I teach.

With twenty years on stage — with bands in Hungary, on cruise ships and in musical theatre — and six years of teaching, I work with singers who want to grow in pop and musical theatre.

I went to a specialist music primary and secondary school, played guitar for nine years, took private singing lessons from the age of 16, and then trained in the performer programme of the Pesti Broadway Stúdió at the Budapest Operetta Theatre. I sang on cruise ships for eleven years: eight as a band frontwoman with AIDA Cruises, then three as a soloist in the TUI Cruises musical company. After Covid I completed the solo singing course at the Kőbányai Zenei Stúdió. Today I sing with the Endless River Pop Duo and the band Red Bug, and I often step in for party bands.

Learn with me in a professional, friendly atmosphere.

I’m still on stage today: I work as a lead and backing vocalist.

What to expect from my lessons

I believe you learn from constructive criticism and guidance — not from a teacher who just nods along and takes your money. To me, that would be unfair and unworthy of a teacher.

In the first lesson I’ll find out where you are and what you want to achieve with your singing, and then we’ll decide on the path ahead.

I’ll give you all the help I can, but you’ll need patience and persistence too — nobody learns to sing overnight.

What I offer

More than just singing

Microphone technique

Working with a microphone is key for every performer — and it doesn’t come naturally.

Stage presence

In lessons we also explore the emotional depth of every song.

Repertoire

We always choose songs that match your level.

Recording

On request, we can record your best songs.

House concerts

If you’d like, you can perform in front of an audience at a house concert at Száva Terem, with stage lighting and a real concert atmosphere.

A game of my own

Practice is not always scales: I have made my own board game, with a vocal exercise on every square.

Solfège and music theory

Reading music and solfège, on request and at your own pace.

Online lessons

If you don’t live in Budapest, that’s no problem — my lessons are also available online. All you need is a laptop, tablet or phone, a stable internet connection and a speaker. I’ll share practice materials with you lesson by lesson.

Cancellation

The time you book is yours — I don’t take anyone else for that slot.

Up to 24 hours before the lesson you can cancel or reschedule free of charge. Just write, and we’ll find another time.

Within 24 hours the lesson fee is payable, because I can no longer fill the slot. But it isn’t lost: I’ll offer to hold the lesson online — music theory, ear training, working on the lyrics, reading music — or to record practice material tailored to you during that time.

Once every six months anything can come up: you can cancel within 24 hours one time, with no consequences.

As a gift

Know someone who’s been saying for years that they’d love to learn to sing, but keeps putting it off?

Give them a lesson. It’s already paid for — all they have to do is show up.

The voucher is for one 90-minute session, and I can add a personal message for a birthday, an anniversary or any other occasion. Get in touch and we’ll sort out the details.

I wholeheartedly recommend Eszter. She teaches precisely, she encourages you, she pushes you to take on challenges, and she gives you valuable technical and stylistic tools and feedback.

Bori · Google review, translated from Hungarian

Chatting with them I realised that Eszter is a vocal coach, so I took two lessons with her. She helped me put my finger on what I need to improve and gave me concrete exercises to get there, all with very precise and clear explanations.
